Anas runs from High Court directive.

Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has declined to show his face to Kwesi Nyantakyi and his lawyers in chambers as part of the conditions for testifying in court.

Ghana’s award-winning investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has declined to testify in court on condition that he show his face to the former Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi, and his lawyers in chambers.

Last week, Justice Marie Louise Simmons ruled that Nyantakyi, the accused, would be allowed to identify the witness (Anas) in chambers by “taking off the mask.

This will happen every time he (Anas Aremeyaw Anas) comes to testify in the case until he is discharged.”

However, the undercover journalist said in a statement released on Thursday, May 18, that the condition puts his life in danger.

“As much as Anas is willing and ready to testify for the prosecution, doing so under the conditions specified by the court presents a clear and present danger to his security and safety,” the statement said.
