The Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, since his appointment has destroyed the police administration beyond repairs.
It is alleged that Dampare doesn’t work with senior police officers, who are Director Generals in the service.
Based o his bad administration, he has been nicknamed “Kwaku Frimpong” alias Putin.
Allegation
It is alleged that the IGP has established his owns units or committees, which are being chaired by his cronies. And these cronies are been promoted day in and day out.
Under his administration, Public Relations units at the Regional level cannot report crimes in the region unless they are forwarded to the Headquarters.
This issue has led to the resignation of one of the officers at the Public Relations Department in the service.
Dampare is the only IGP who has been awarding sole sourcing contracts since assumption of office to a certain security analyst.
